Incoming Freshmen: Factoids That Will Put Things In Perspective
This month SHSU will welcome the incoming freshmen to campus. We realize that it may be hard to relate to the newest generation of college students. To help with this, we have compiled a list of facts about this year’s college freshmen.
Office 2013 Coming to Campus
This month we will be upgrading the campus to Microsoft Office 2013. To help with this transition we will offer a number of trainings this month that demonstrate the differences between Office 2010 and Office 2013.
National Cyber Security Awareness Month Coming Soon
October is just around the corner and with that comes National Cyber Security Month. This year IT@Sam will be doing its part to make sure everyone on campus is aware of online security.
Cherwell Still Going Strong
We are officially 4 weeks into Cherwell. With the campus still adapting and learning the nuances of the new system, we will continue to offer more Cherwell trainings throughout the month of August. Feel free to drop by and attend.
Computer Safety and Security: Rogue Security Software
Not all security notifications are legitimate. Some are actually veiled attempts to steal your identity or wreak havoc on your computer. These veiled attempts are known as "scareware" and, while they seem trustworthy, they can cause you great harm.
