Computing Updates

Disabling Microsoft Lync Automatic Launch

Microsoft Lync has been pushed to all networked computers across campus and is available for use by any faculty/staff member or student worker. Lync launces automatically when you log in to your profile, which is a nice feature for some people. For those who prefer not to have the software launch at login, follow the instructions below.

 

 

1. Click on the "Options" logo shown here

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. On the following pop-up, select the Personal tab (Green)

3. Uncheck Automatically start Lync when I log on to Windows (Blue)
