Helpdesk

All students, faculty, and staff who require software or trouble-shooting assistance with the campus data and telecommunications networks have access to 24-hour assistance both on and off campus.

Restrictions

  • May only be installed on a University owned computer.
  • Products are licensed based on a yearly contract between SHSU Information Technology and Microsoft and must be renegotiated each fiscal year. If Information Technology does not renew the license the software will no longer be licensed and must be removed or the user /department will be in violation of the software license and subject to laws and regulations governing software piracy.
  • Product may not be duplicated or redistributed.
  • Faculty/Staff members performing University work at home may install one copy of Microsoft Office on a personally owned computer.
