Responsibilities:
As Associate Vice President for Information Resources, I report to the Vice President for Finance & Operations. My daily responsibilities include
management of the University Computer Services department. Additionally I serve the role of the campus Chief Information Officer(CIO)/Information Resource Manger(IRM). As IRM I adivse on all technology related campus activities for regulatory compliancy and consistency with the University strategic plan.
The SHSU Computer Services department provides the University community with centralized support for all telecommunications related needs. Computer services is organized in to three primary areas, Administrative Applications, Client Support and Systems. These areas provide services such as administrative and academic application development and maintenance, helpdesk support, desktop computer repair and support, web development, technology training, telephone system support, network communications, video infrastructure, servers, technology purchasing and computer security.
