The Annual Fund exists to provide a vehicle for alumni, friends, parents and corporations to support quality academics at Sam Houston State University.

Gifts through the Annual Fund provide funding for critical needs of the University such as student scholarships, equipment, library and information system technology, development of the University’s academic programs, and faculty enrichment. Contributions through the Annual Fund are critical in bridging the gap between actual educational costs and tuition income.

You can double or even triple your support if you are employed by a company with a matching gift program.  Check online now and then contact your firm’s human resources department to secure a form to submit with your gift.

You can designate your SHSU Annual Fund gift to a particular college, academic department or special program to make a direct impact according to your interests. Or, you may make your gift to help provide financial assistance to deserving students...or to where the need is greatest.

Annual Fund gifts have a tremendous impact on the University’s ability to support programs not funded by state appropriations. Currently, about a third of SHSU’s operating budget is derived from state funds. Therefore, we must rely upon the generosity of our alumni and friends to provide the funding necessary to keep Sam Houston State University at the forefront of higher education.
