Checks or money orders are to be made payable to "SHSU" and must be paid before the requested testing date. Registrations will be taken until 5:00 p.m. the day before a scheduled ACT Residual test or until the capacity of the testing room is filled, whichever one comes first. 4. TIME:Examinees will begin testing at 8:00 a.m. during the month of June (Effective July 1st - the exam will begin at 8:30 a.m.). Examinees need to report to the testing site approximately 15-30 minutes prior to their scheduled testing time on their scheduled testing date. No examinees will be allowed into the testing room after the test has begun and the examinees will not receive a refund of the registration/administration/test fee.
  5. FAMILY AND/OR FRIENDS:Family and/or friends bringing an examinee to the Testing Center for a test will not be allowed to wait in the testing area for the examinee to finish testing. These visitors will be informed of an approximate completion time and will be asked to return at that time to pick-up the examinee. If children are brought to the Testing Center and expected to wait in the waiting area for an examinee until they are finished testing, the examinee will not be allowed to test on that testing day. If they wish to reschedule for another testing date they will be required to pay the registration/administration/test fee again.
  6. ITEMS NEEDED:Examinees must bring with them to the testing site a current picture identification (i.e. drivers license, student identification card with picture, high school yearbook, high school counselor identification letter with picture attached -- counselor signature across the picture and student signature on letter, or some other form of picture identification), and the payment receipt form. Examinees will not be allowed to start testing without picture identification and the testing session will not be delayed waiting for proper identification to be presented.
  7. SCORES: Test results will be available after 12:00 p.m. (noon) the next business day following the test. Only the examinees may come by the Testing Center and show their picture identification in order to find out their scores. The scores from the ACT Residual test are automatically forwarded to the Undergraduate Admissions Office after scoring has been completed. The ACT Residual test given at SHSU can only be used at this university. These scores cannot be transferred to another college or university and there are no score reports available.
  8. RETAKES: Students who have taken the ACT Assessment through Residual or any other non-national testing, on this campus or at another institution, must wait 60 days before retesting. Students who retest before the 60-day time restriction will have their scores canceled.
