It may seem a stereotypical place to start... and a bad joke, but I had to start somewhere, and the beginning is always a good place.
I was born in November 1979. Although the disco craze was already at an end, I still got out as fast as I could.
I spent my so-called formative years in San Antonio's Alamo Heights. A year on the edge of Waco, and a frozen January move to northwest Montana. Recommendation: NEVER move in snow country in the winter. Lived in three towns; two separate houses in the third town. Graduated from Lincoln County High, Eureka, MT - Class of 1998.
As many do, I entered the Army straight out of high school. Standard basic training, then ten months in Augusta, Georgia for job training; 31S Satellite Communications Systems Operations, Maintenance, and Repair: the Army way of saying telecommunications. From Georgia, I went to Alaska. Three months in Fairbanks, and three years in Anchorage. Met some of the best people I have ever met in Alaska, all while desperately wishing Global Warming would hurry up. After Alaska, went back to Georgia for a another four and a half months of training; this time as a Satellite Network Controller. After leaving Georgia (again), I finished out my military service at Fort Meade, Maryland.
Post Army, I returned to Texas, and have been enrolled at Sam Houston State University since Fall Semester, 2004. Majors: Accounting, Finance, and Economics Minors: Banking and Psychology
Interests
I enjoy a diverse set of activities. So, as people do on Facebook and MySpace, I am going to list them in no particular order. Due to the rising costs of tuition and books, I have been forced to cut back on entertainment activities to augment my savings through near full-time work.
When I have the opportunity, some preferred activities include:
Scuba Mountain Biking Billiards
Anime/Scifi/Fantasy/Comic Convention Involvement Traveling Fine Dining |
