Kat2Kat Peer Counseling Program

                                                          

Mission

The Mission of the Kat2Kat Peer Counseling Program is to provide students with an impartial resource from which they can attain financial independence through education and counseling services designed and implemented from the student's perspective. 

 

Purpose

The Kat2Kat Peer Counseling program originated under the umbrella of the Student Money Management Center in an effort to provide SHSU students with an unbiased financial planning service implemented and executed by fellow students.

 

 

Services We Provide

The Kat2Kat Peer Counseling Program is a financial literacy resource that SHSU students can utilize to gain and maintain financial independence. The program offers confidential, individualized financial planning sessions with trained, peer financial counselors. The peer counselors are current SHSU upperclassmen who are qualified to assist fellow students with a wide variety of financial topics ranging from, but not limited to:

Counseling sessions are by appointment or walk in during designated hours.
