Connect One: Money & Roommates

Make the connection between saving money and having a roommate. This workshop will provide a checklist of things to plan with a roommate before agreeing on an apartment. We will discuss the importance of individual budgeting and how you can budget successfully as roommates. Free snacks and drinks will be provided.
Connect Two: Money & Leases

Make the connection between saving money and signing a leasing agreement. Moving off campus can be a fun and exciting step in the college experience; however, they are several things students should be aware of before signing the dotted line of a rental agreement. This workshop will discuss leasing stipulations including pet deposits, co-signers, renter’s insurance, and even how to get out of a lease. Free snacks and drinks will be provided.
Connect Three: Money & Careers

Make the connection between saving money and choosing your future career. Having a career is not entirely all about making money, but also saving money and preparing for what the future holds. This workshop will teach students how to negotiate salary during the hiring process and understand benefits packages including insurance and retirement plans. Free snacks and drinks will be provided.
