Back When:
Looking at the Past
Through the eyes of a Child
Back When will provide students with numerous
opportunities to examine 19th century folkways, discuss 19th century lifestyles
and act out 19th century behaviour by portraying characters in plays and
skits whose values, manners, language, habits and work roles reflect compassion,
respect, responsibility, perseverance and trust. Students will be introduced
to alternative modes of behavior by using comparison and contrast to analyze
the differences between 19th and 20th century lifestyles.
While learning about values is a lifelong process,
Back When is intended to help children refocus their ideals
and principles by supporting a solid ethical system and providing tools
for self mastery and empathy. Such tools equip children to become a moral
force in the community.
Back When aspires to:
-

-
