The Pantry

The Pantry of the Woodland Home
The pantry is located just off the side of the bedroom. It (and the next room) are called Shed Rooms. They were built onto the house at a later date. This one is located on the East side of the house.

Margaret probably kept her flour, salt, sugar, and good dishes under lock and key in this room. Only Margaret and one of her slaves, Eliza, had access to this room. Family history tells us that Eliza was bought for Margaret when they we both very young and they grew up together being very close friends.
