Lake Oolooteca

Lake Oolooteca
When Sam was a boy in Tennessee, he ran away from home to live with the Cherokee Indians on Hiwasee Island. He was adopted by Chief Oolooteca and given the name Coloneh - the Raven. Later, after his resignation of the Governorship of Tennessee, he went home to his Cherokee brothers, who had been forcibly relocated to Oklahoma. The lake has been named after his adoptive Cherokee father.
