ADAI Alcohol & Drug Abuse Initiative will be hosting its 8th Annual Alcohol & Drug Summit. Parents that arrive early for Parents Weekend are able to attend and see what we do to address alcohol and drug issues for the student body.	8:00AM - 4:30PM	LSC 3rd Floor
Recreational Sports Open House This will be an open house. Family members can access the recreational center free of charge when accompanied by their student with a valid Bearkat One Card. Saturday, September 28
Check-In Come to the LSC Atrium to receive your t-shirt, lunch ticket, and giveaways. If you are unable to check-in during the posted times you or your student may pick up the registration bags and t-shirts the following week in the Dean of Students' Office in LSC Suite 215.	8:00AM - 12:30PM	LSC Atrium

Sam Houston Memorial Museum "Making the Big Tent: Cotton on Sam Houston's Farm". Come and learn about the fiber that makes the big tent. From growing to processing and spinning to weaving, costumed museum staff will help children and adults explore cotton with hands on activities at Bear Bend Cabin. Touch real cotton balls, card them, spin them, weave them, and take some seeds home to plant.	10:00AM - 1:00PM	Sam Houston Museum
Student Alumni Association & Parent Welcome Reception The Alumni Association will hold a brunch reception for all students and parents in the John R. Ragsdale Alumni Center. Freshman Learning Community Ice Cream Social Families of Freshman Learning Community students are invited to mingle with each other and learn more about the learning communities. *This is an invitation only event.
