Jeanine Bias - Associate Dean of Students

Jeanine Bias is originally from San Antonio, TX and is a proud alumnus of Sam Houston State University where she received a BA in Political Science. She is currently completing her Master of Public Administration from Texas State University-San Marcos. Jeanine has spent her entire professional career in student affairs and prior to coming to SHSU has worked at University of Texas at San Antonio and Texas State University – San Marcos. Her responsibilities in the Dean of Students’ Office include but are not limited to providing oversight to Orange Keys, F.L.A.S.H. (New Student Mentor Program), Parent/Family Weekend, and Greek Life programs.

 

Jerrell Sherman - Assistant Dean of Students for Greek Life

Jerrell Sherman is a Houston, Texas native and is a proud alumnus of Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis Public Relations. He then went on to obtain his Master's Degree in Advertising/Marketing Communications from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. His responsibilities include but are not limited to advising, event planning, policy writing, branding, marketing/pr campaigns, web development, and providing oversight for the entire Greek Life program at SHSU.

 

Laura Cardiel - Greek Life Graduate Assistant

Laura Cardiel is a proud alumnus of Sam Houston State University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. As an undergraduate, Laura was involved in many organizations including Sigma Alpha Pi National Society, Order of Omega honor society, and also became a sister of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated, to which she served in multiple capacities such as president and recruitment. Ms. Cardiel is currently working towards completing her Master of Education in Higher Education Administration and plans to one day become a Dean at her beloved Alma mater. Her responsibilities include but are not limited to basic office tasks as well as advising, promoting, event planning and PR for Greek Life here at SHSU!
