Mission Statement

The Dean of Students' Office provides leadership for the development of an environment where students have the opportunity to accumulate knowledge, skills, values and experiences in settings outside the classroom. This is offered through services and programs that involve students, faculty and staff in the creation of an engaged, balanced and student-centered campus culture.

Goals

• Demonstrate commitment to educate the whole student to become a citizen leader dedicated to the common good by providing programs and opportunities to enhance student leadership development.
• Provide valid and reliable assessment information that will enable divisional departments to produce student-centered research directed toward program and service improvement.
• Enhance co-curricular programs that empnasize students' experiences both inside and outside the classroom through ongoing participation in programs.
• Develop new methods of technological delivery of services.
• Support a safe environment for each student to attain their educational objectives by fairly administering Federal, State and Texas State University System policies including the Code of Student Conduct.
