Available Services:

Students’ Legal Services counsels students on issues such as: landlord-tenant disputes, criminal law, domestic relations/family law, employment law, consumer and civil matters, contract law, simple wills, and name changes. The office will refer students to outside agencies or private attorneys concerning legal issues for which we cannot provide assistance or court representation.

Excluded  Services:

The office of Students’ Legal Services does not counsel on matters involving Sam Houston State University or disputes between students attending Sam Houston State University. Due to Sam Houston State University policy, we cannot represent Sam Houston State University students in court.
