Before submitting your question, please acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Online question should only be used to answer general questions of law that do not pertain to matters involving SHSU or a controversy with another SHSU student. For questions requiring specific application of the law, students must contact the office for an appointment.
2. Electronic media is not confidential, and confidentiality of any information submitted will not be protected. Further, by submitting this question, you authorize Student Legal response by email, even though the response will not be confidential.
3. Responses are limited by any information provided, are for educational purposes only and do not create an attorney client relationship.
4. Questions are generally answered within 3 business days. If you have a question of an urgent nature, please contact the office for an appointment at 936-294-1717 or retain an attorney in private practice.
5. Questions/answers that are of common interest to students may be posted on the SHSU SLS Blog without mentioning names.
