State of Texas
There are two avenues to consider when selling to the Lone Star State. The Central Master Bidders List (CMBL) or as a Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) are managed through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.
The CMBL is a master database used by State of Texas purchasing entities to develop a mailing list for vendors to receive bids based on the products or services they can provide to the State of Texas.
Manufacturers, suppliers, and other vendors wishing to furnish materials, equipment, supplies, and services to the state should register for the CMBL to receive bidding opportunities.Annual registration/renewal fee is $70.00 and may be paid on-line by credit/debit card or check debit (US addresses only) or via a printable application. HUB Certification is a business designation that is determined by:
The statewide HUB Program facilitates the use of HUBs in state procurement and provides information on the state’s procurement process to minority and woman-owned businesses. Find out more about the HUB Certification program.
U. S. Government
You may have heard that the U.S. Government is the world’s largest consumer of goods and services. It’s true -- the government does purchase all types of products and services ranging from the highly technical to everyday items such as office supplies--and government agencies spend billions buying from small businesses just like yours.
That’s where we can help you understand the government marketing process, and help you find and respond to contract opportunities for your company. To learn more about how you can sell to the government call our office at 936-294-3737.
