SHSU Faculty: Up Close and Personal

As Sam Houston grows, we want to make every effort to maintain the personal and relational component that makes our university a special place. We also recognize that academic excellence is supported in the context of a mentoring relationship. With this in mind, Academic Support Programs of the Student Advising and Mentoring Center is sponsoring a speaker series that encourages the interaction of our students and faculty outside of the classroom.

On the second Wednesday of every month, at noon, students will be invited to bring their lunch and join our scheduled faculty speaker in an informal presentation at the Farrington  Pit. Students will have an opportunity to hear about the career, the teaching philosophy and the pet peeves of their favorite professor.

* In the case of inclement weather the program will take place in the LSC Bookstore Atrium
