Election day is quickly approaching. On May tenth, City Council and School Board positions will be on the ballot. The Huntsville-Walker County Chamber of Commerce and the Political Science Junior Fellows has a way for you to get your two cents before the big day.
The two organizations are sponsoring a "Meet the Candidates" forum tonight. The forum is a way for people to learn more about the candidates for school board and city council. Those in attendance will be able to directly ask the candidates questions. Five city council and five school board candidates are invited to the event. Four council positions are up for election. Over on the school board side of things, seats 4 and 5 are up for grabs. The event got underway at 5:30pm at the Katy and E Don Walker Education Center.
