Course Code Information/Crosswalk of Course Numbers

Effective with the Summer 2011 term, course are now referenced by CRN numbers.
CRN numbers were previously referred to as CID numbers.

All courses will be converted from a 3-digit code to a 4-digit code.

A Crosswalk of Course numbers has been created so that you may reference
the new 4-digit code and its previous 3-digit code used in the old registration system.

Registration Error Messages

Registration Errors appear on the Add or Drop Classes screen when you try to add or drop a class from your schedule.

Registration Hold Messages

Registration Holds appear on the Registration Status screen.

Did you receive a message preventing you from registering?

• Do you require mandatory advisement?
  • All students whose current overall SHSU GPA is BELOW 2.5
  • All students who do not have a SHSU GPA (new freshmen and new transfer students)
  • All students with 90+ hours
  • All students subject to The Texas Success Initiative (formerly TASP) regulations.
• Were you placed on Academic Probation at the end of the last term?
  • You must see an Academic Advisor to be able to register.
