| **Transcript Request Notice** |
Your transcript will be sent as soon as possible, but processing may take longer during peak times, particularly at the end of semesters. |
Transcripts reflecting the degree conferred will be available only after the degrees are posted. Transcripts may be ordered online through MySam. Please wait for the confirmation e-mail from the Registrar notifying you that your degree is posted prior to requesting a transcript online, or use the "Hold For Degree" button.
If you order your transcript online with the "Send ASAP" option before your degree is posted to your official academic transcript, you will be required to re-submit your transcript request to have your transcript released with your posted degree.
Posting of Degree on Transcripts: Once your degree requirements are completed and the Registrar has verified that all term degrees can be posted, your degree will be posted at the top of your transcript. With your degree will post the major(s), minor(s), concentration (if applicable), date of graduation, and any graduation honors earned (Latin Honors, Academic Distinction, or Honors/Honors College).
(*Please note that Sam Houston State University is closed for two weeks during the holiday season in December and reopens the first week of January.)
Official transcripts are $5.00 each. Students are eligible to receive up to 5 free transcripts during the terms they are enrolled. Requests for free transcripts must be made prior to the last class date of the enrolled term. Free transcripts do not roll forward into future terms. (NOTE: Students only enrolled in correspondence course work are not eligible to receive the free transcripts.)
After you graduate from SHSU, you are eligible for 10 free transcripts which are available up to one year after your graduation date. These free transcripts do not roll over after that year and regular prices then apply.
