DARS at Sam Houston State University

What is DARS?

DARS Logo

  • DARS is an automated process for tracking a student’s academic progress
toward completing an academic program that was developed by Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. The system was developed to help students, faculty, advisors, and administrators understand what requirements a student has fulfilled and what requirements he or she needs to fulfill to graduate.
  • DARS considers a student’s course work at his or her institution, transfer courses, and courses in progress when producing an audit report, providing timely information on a student’s progress toward meeting degree requirements.
