Upcoming Conference: The MERiT of Collaboration
The third MERiT conference will take place
November 5 & 6, 2009, on the campus of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.
As with the previous MERiT conferences, we plan to begin with a dinner on Thursday evening (at 6:30 p.m.) and adjourn Friday afternoon by around 2:45 p.m. Our opening dinner on Thursday will be followed by an after dinner talk from Dr. Bob Reys from the University of Missouri-Columbia. We are excited to have someone with such a national presence join us and share with us his thinking about mathematics education research. On Friday morning, we will be meeting at Region VI Education Service Center's Professional Development Center and plan to have opportunities for interaction with each other during several sessions designed to support and encourage collaboration on mathematics education research projects and opportunities.
