Welcome to the SHSU Office of Research Administration's website. The office is located on the 2nd floor of the Roy Adams Building. The Office of Research Administration falls under the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The mission of the SHSU Office of Research Administration is to administer externally sponsored program funds in an efficient and effective manner, to minimize risk to the University and allow faculty to focus on their research.

The Office of Research Administration supports SHSU in the performance and administration of projects through externally funded research, public service, instruction, training and other projects. Our office provides faculty/staff with pre and post-award research administration support in administering externally funded awards, is responsible for budget preparation and approval, proposal submissions, review and preparation of award documents, negotiating terms and conditions of awards, compliance review and for the financial administration of the award.
