SHSU Club Sports
The Club Sports Program consists of recognized student organizations that are established to promote and develop common sport and/or recreation related interest.
Each club has been founded, organized, managed, and maintained by volunteer student leaders and may vary in focus and programming. Club members are actively involved in the leadership and decision making process of club activities.
| Combative Martial Arts: CMA includes three different classes: Tae-Kwon-Do, Jujutsu, and Competition Sparring. CMA is always ready to welcome new martial arts into the organization. |
Paintball: The Paintball Club provides a fun, safe enviroment for those interested in this sport. Club Members have use of a specific paintball site. |

| Cycling: The Cycling Club is devoted to those wanting a serious biking experience. |
Dodgeball: The Dodgeball Club is a fun, exciting, and fast paced club. |

| Men's Volleyball: The Men's Volleyball Club is for those that are truely serious about volleyball. |
Women's Volleyball: The Women's Volleyball Club is for those that are truely serious about volleyball. |

| Baseball: Club Baseball competes in the National Club Baseball Association's Gulf Coast Conference. In 2007, the Bearkats were Gulf Coasts Champions and earned their second trip to the NCBA World Series in Fort Meyers, FL. |
Bowling: Bowling is a newer Club Sport to hit SHSU. They finished the 2004-05 year ranked 5th in college division of NCBCA. |

| Inline Hockey: Inline Hockey is a member of the Southwest Collegiate Hockey League. Their full schedule keeps them traveling across the state to compete in their active league. |
Women's Lacrosse: 2004-05 Club of the Year The 2004-05 year marked the second season of play in the Texas Women's Lacrosse League. the team is compiled of a very spirited and dedicated group of women. |

| Hapkido: The martial art of Hapkido combines the techniques of Tae Kwon Do & Jujitsu. Emphasis is on self-defense. Students receive official promotions through AIMHI Academy. Our motto is, "A sound mind in a sound body" | Outdoor Adventure: Outdoor Adventure is a club for those who like backpacking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and several other outdoor pursuits. OCA plans many weekend and extended trips each year. |

| Powerlifting: Powerlifting is one of our fastest growing clubs today. The 2004-05 year marked their third season as a Club Sport under USA Powerlifting, and they sent 6 lifters to Nationals. |
Racquetball: For those interested in a very active club sport, you should check out the Racquetball Club. |

| Women's Rugby: The Women's Rugby team is the newest member of the Club Sports family. The team members are dedicated to learning about the sport and are excited for their first game in the spring. |
Men's Soccer: Men's Soccer competes each fall in the Texas Collegiate Soccer League. In 2004-05 they were the East Division Champions and advanced to the Region IV Soccer Tournament. |

| Women's Soccer: In the Texas Collegiate Soccer League, Women's Soccer competes against schools like North Harris and Rice. |
Tennis: Tennis Club competes in the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association and the United States Tennis Association. Each year the team travels to the USTA Team Tennis Nationals. |

| Ultimate Frisbee: Ultimate Frisbee is a 4th year club and copetes under the Ultimate Palyers Assocation. Currently they have 3 different teams: Open, Co-ed, and a Women's. |
Wrestling: The 2007-08 year marked the wrestling club's first ever participation in the NCWA. The club produced two Texas state champions, four Southwest regional qualifiers and high recognition for the MCWA and from many teams within the Southwestern Conference. Come be a part of the action! |

| Men's Lacrosse:Started at SHSU in 1983 and is returning to its former glory. The club competes in the Lonestar Alliance, which is the most premier college lacrosse conference in Texas and is a member of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA). |
