Dr. Robert B. Bruce is a military historian specializing in the French, German, and American armies. His scholarship focuses on warfare in the 19th & 20th centuries with a particular emphasis on the Napoleonic Wars, World War I and World War II. He is the author of A Fraternity of Arms: America & France in the Great War, which won the 2004 Tomlinson Prize from the Western Front Association for the best book on World War I, as well as numerous other books, articles, and essays on various topics in Military History.
