A full-time clinical psychology doctoral program for those focused on clinical practice and psychological research. Additionally, the program trains students to be legally informed clinicians through an exposure to applications of clinical psychology to legal issues.

Sam Houston State is proud to offer masters level degree programs in clinical, school, and general psychology including a program of general psychology study at The University Center Campus, The Woodlands, Texas.

  • The clinical program produces individuals interested in becoming master's-level practitioners. Many graduates obtain licensure to practice as Psychological Associates or Licensed Professional Counselors, while others pursue doctoral-level training.
  • The N.A.S.P accredited school psychology program prepares graduates to become nationally certified school psychologists.
  • With an emphasis on research and the scientific basis of psychology, the general program is designed to produce graduates prepared for careers in research or teaching in the field of psychology.
