Any student wishing to study Philosophy at Sam Houston State will find every opportunity to do significant research.
The Newton Gresham Library maintains an impressive collection of works in Philosophy as well as a considerable number of scholarly journals in Philosophy.
Also, as Sam Houston State University is a virtual computer hub in the world wide web, students at Sam Houston State have easy access to extraordinary amounts of material available on the Internet and through inter-library loan.
The Philosophy Program sponsors students for entry into the Texas Gamma Chapter of Phi Sigma Tau, the National Honor Society in Philosophy. Every year the Division holds an induction ceremony for such students and provides them with copies of the journal, Dialogue, which features published works by undergraduate students in Philosophy.
