Smith-Hutson Addition

PROJECT COST - $5.8 Million
Funded through General Use Fee Bond Proceeds and Constitutional Tax Funds on hand.

A motion has been made to the Board for the February, 2003 meeting which would increase this project funding an additional $2.5 Million. If approved, an additional 12,500 SF would be added to this project for an auditorium, offices and more classrooms.

The 32,500 SF addition to the Smith-Hutson Business Building will provide much needed classroom space for the rapidly growing academic program. This addition also provides better consolidation of the College which is currently housed in several buildings. It will be located in the parking lot adjacent to the Business Building. Final design is expected to be completed by September, 2003 and construction completed by May, 2005.
