Recreation Building and Pool
Building Committee Chair: Keith Jenkins PROJECT COST - $6.7 Million funded by Sport Fee Funds on Hand, Recreation Sports and Sport Fee Bond Proceeds Increased student enrollment and high participation has resulted in the need for the expansion of the existing facility. This project would be a new facility, located adjacent and west of the Health & Kinesiology Building. The preliminary ideas that are being discussed with the architects are that we would like the facility to be very visual: lots of glass, a high energy place where you could see all the action and challenges, possibly a rock climbing wall close to the entrance. Overall, a very exciting and inviting place. Other features include an enlarged weight room, and combination indoor/outdoor swimming pool.
