Farrington Renovation and Addition

Farrington BuildingBuilding Committee Chair: Mary Plishker
Building Project Coordinator: Gary House

PROJECT C0ST - $18 Million
Tuition Revenue Bond Proceeds Authorized by the Legislature

After much consideration on the best approach to this project, a construction application has been resubmitted to the Coordinating Board for approval to build a new 60,000 SF building on the south side of Bowers Blvd. (20th St.) If that is approved, the existing Farrington Building Renovation budget will be $1.5-2 Million of the total project budget. When finished, this project will provide the Chemistry, Physics, and Forensic Science Departments with state-of-the-art facilities, including the addition of several research labs. Farrington was constructed in 1959.

The design is expected to be completed by November, 2003 and construction finished by July, 2005.
