Welcome to Sam Houston State University!

I am truly honored to be the President of Sam Houston State University. Our University is entering is 134th year of service, so we have a long and well-established history of providing premier higher education in the state of Texas.

Sam Houston State University offers a wide range of high quality undergraduate, masters level and doctorate programs that can fit the need of virtually any student.

To better support the academic mission and the social life of students on our campus we have completed, or have under way almost $300 million in campus construction. The newest buildings on campus are the Old Main Market fresh foods dining facility and the Lone Star Hall, our newest residence hall. Additionally, a 345 acre recreational area located just north of Huntsville is in the process of development.

I encourage you to visit Sam Houston State University by scheduling a campus tour through the Visitor Center.
