THE WORK REQUEST PROCESS
When a request for service is received at the
Physical Plant that involves a threat to life, property, or
health, the Forepersons or Technicians are alerted by radio
or phone immediately.
All requests involving temperature control, plumbing
problems, and security issues (broken locks, broken windows,
etc.) are given out the same day as received. When non-emergency
requests are received in the Physical Plant Office, a work order
is created and the information is passed on to the appropriate
shop foreperson. The foreperson then schedules and assigns the
requests to individual technicians in that shop.
