Dr. Dunaway's teaching and research interests are in the fields of media and Politics, Political Communication, Public Opinion, Political Behavior, and American Political Institutions. Her current research projects include papers on the institutional determinants of issue content and editorial bias in political news, the relationship between geographic proximity to Mexico and locan news coverage of Latino immigration, and media coverage of immigration and its influence on public opinion. She has authored several papers on these topics for presentation at professional meetings.
