Cafe offers study sanctuary

Cafe Belvin opened its doors for some unusual hours beginning May 6, providing food and sanctuary for students cramming for final exams. SHSU President Bobby K. Marks and his wife Colleen ushered in the semester-capping occasion by helping serve the annual Twilight Breakfast, a late-night feast sponsored by Residence Life, Student Activities and ARAMARK. The Belvin "study hall" was held from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. each night through May 12. After the May 6 Twilight Breakfast, soft drinks, coffee and light snacks were provided each night at no charge. T-shirts and door prizes were furnished by Student Activities.
