Undergraduate Research

The department faculty considers research to be an important part of a students education. A number of students are currently doing research. The following is list of current students doing research.

Jason Bobruk -- Jason is working with Dr. Hall on determining the epithermal / thermal neutron ratio for a detector used in logging oil wells.

Jaakko Halmari -- Jaakko is working with Dr. Meitzler to construct a 1 MeV electron linac. His work centers on the assembly of the microwave source for the accelerator.

Many of our research students have gone on to work in a variety of enterprises ranging from teaching to industry-based research.
