SPS Fundraising

    SPS has to raise money so that we may help spread the word about how fun physics can be.  We do demonstrations for people and try to show people that they don't have to be scared of physics.
    We use the money to help students by distributing scholarships among outstanding physics students at Sam Houston State.  Follow the links below to see how we raise money and what it is helping to accomplish.

Coming Soon:

• T-Shirts - we make informative and/or funny T-shirts to sell to the public and other physics students at our annual physics conference.
• Food and Drink - we sell food and drinks at the observatory when there are events there.
• Planetarium Shows - depending on who it is for can be used as a profit making thing or for educational purposes i.e. demonstrations.
• Movies in the Planetarium - a work in progress, we might be planning a Bad Movie Night, you have to pay to get out.  We also may just show a fun movie in there, the psycodellic movies are the best for that screen.
• Rocket Launch/Contest - a big time work in progress, probably end up in the spring in conjunction with a demo in the fall.

Old Times:

• Garage Sales - we sell you the stuff we don't want, we use the money to educate people about physics.
