Holidays
There are many different holidays for each religion. The religions that commonly fall into the pagan category usually celebrate the eight holidays listed below. Each religion celebrates these holidays in their own way. Remember, these aren't all the holidays and some of the pagan religions don't even celebrate these holidays. If you are interested in other religious holidays visit our links page for some useful websites or just do a little bit of research. The Student Pagan Association also celebrates a couple of these holidays a year and members are free to participate or just observe.
Common Pagan Holidays:
Samhain (October 31 - November 1)
Yule (December 20 - 23)
Imbolc (February 2)
Ostara (March 19 - 22)
Beltane (April 30 - May 1)
Litha (June 19 - 23)
Lughnasadh (July 31 - August 1)
Mabon (September 21- 24)
A lot of pagan groups also celebrate the various moon phases. These celebrations can be as simple as a quick "prayer" of sorts or as complicated as complete rituals to observe these special times of the year. Since most pagan religions put a heavy emphasis on being in tune with nature, it is only natural that most of them incorporate the moon phases into their day to day lives.
