Each year Student Activities hosts the Sammy Awards, recognition given to students
and organizations that embody the university's motto--"A measure of life is its service."
The organization has won the "Outstanding Academic/Honors Organization" for the past
four years in a row--in only four and a half years of existence. This year, for the first time,
it was named the "Outstanding Organization" on campus, the smallest organization ever
so designated. Finally, Daniel North was awarded the "Outstanding CHSS Student," the top
student in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
