The Political Science Junior Fellows is an Academic organization that promotes education, civic
involvement, and professionalism. To be a member, a student must be nominated by a sitting member.
Once nominated, it is determined whether nominees meet the following criteria:
1) 3.0 GPA |
2) Pol Sci Major or Minor |
3) Strong Character & Reliability |
Students are screened by Professor Mike Yawn and existing Junior Fellows to ensure
they meet the eligibility requirements. If they meet the minimum requirements, Professor Yawn determines
membership with the advice of members (especially officers). Junior Fellows must go
through an orientation process, including participating in various events and working with various
faculty and students.
Students interested in joining can contact Professor Mike Yawn at mike.yawn@shsu.edu
or President Megan Bryant at megan.bryant@shsu.edu.
