Louisiana Campaign Trip

Baton Rouge & New Orleans

The Junior Fellows traveled to New Orleans, LA to work on incumbent Mary Landrieu's senatorial campiagn. Before arriving in New Orleans the student stopped in Baton Rouge to see the Louisiana state capitol and the Huey Long memorial and gravesite. The students worked the three days prior to the election on phone calls, block walking, and sign-waving. The student were invited to Senator Landries victory party election night to celebrate the hardwork of the campaign. The students also visited Bourbon Street, The National WWII Museum, Jackson Square, and the Garden District.
