The
SHSU Political Science Junior Fellows program
is a civic organization that promotes public service, education, and professionalism. In addition to volunteering weekly at local non-profit organizations, the students also host educational seminars, assist with special events locally, and travel to sites of historic, political, and social interest. The group was named the outstanding academic and honorary organization at the 2007 & 2008 Sammys and the Outstanding Service Group by the Walker County Chamber of Commerce.
