_{^{The International Hispanic Association was founded in 1987, by a group of students that met at the Catholic Student Center.   The purpose of IHA is to help spread and share the Hispanic culture among students', staff and faculty of SHSU, regardless of race, religion or creed. Our main goal is to provide students with an opportunity to meet new people and fully enjoy their college experience by participating in the events and activities at Sam Houston State, the Huntsville Community and surrounding areas.}}
