Philanthropy

All sororities and fraternities sponsor national and local philanthropies such as scholarships, fellowships, and research grants. Also many national health-related organizations benefit from the service and fund-raising efforts of Sam Greeks. Each of SHSU's sororities and fraternities support different philanthropies (see individual chapter pages). In addition to the national and local philanthropies, Sam Greeks also participate in many campus wide fundraising events. The greatest feeling of accomplishment is felt when organizations present checks, compile total service hours, or just see smiles on the faces of those they've helped. Community and philanthropic endeavors incorporate a great sense of unity and reward among brothers and sisters.
