CRITERIA |
|
1. Undergraduate classification of "Junior" or “Senior.” 2. Overall GPA of 3.29 or higher. If you are a transfer student, a weighted average of your transfer GPA and your SHSU GPA is calculated. The weighted average must be 2.9 or higher. 3. Residency at Sam Houston State University. You must have completed a minimum of 25 hours at Sam Houston State University. Invitations to join Golden Key International Honour Society are sent out electronically every Fall. If you meet the criteria to join Golden Key, check your e-mail. This is very important because the induction ceremony is only held once a year, usually in October. The induction ceremony this year will be held on Wednesday, October 17, at 7:00 pm in the Lowman Student Center Ballroom. New Inductees should try to be there by 6:45. We will only recognize the new members that actually attend the induction ceremony. If you are interested in joining golden key, contact us at org_gk@shsu.edu or talk to an individual officer. *Although induction only occurs once a year, if you meet the criteria and are interested in joining, you can go by anytime of the year and speak with Dr. Green, our advisor. His office is located in the new wing of the Smith-Hudson building, room 107 B. |
