Community Success Showcase

The Center for Rural Studies: Research and Outreach at Sam Houston State University wants to showcase your community.  

In our continued efforts to champion  rural community and socioeconomic   development, the Center for Rural Studies is compiling and sharing Community Success Stories. The success stories that we receive will be posted here on our website, and in doing so will become a celebration and inspiration for other communities throughout the State.

If you would like to showcase your community, please submit a short narrative that illustrates how your community is accomplishing its development goals.

The narrative should include:

• Project Name/Description
  

• What was the goal of this project?
  

• Give a brief description of how it was initiated?
  

• Who was involved in the project/program? (individuals, organizations, community)
  

• What has the impact of this project been on your community or region?
  

• Who monitors the progress and results of this project?
  

• How is it financed?
  

• What local resources make this a successful project?
  

• Project/Program contact(s): List your name and others who could answer questions about this program/project. Please list name, organization, phone number, and email address.
  

You may attach photos that capture your success.
