Tutoring

Project CONNECT provides free tutoring services to participants in our program only. If you are not a participant and would like to apply, please fill out our application. To see a list of available tutors, click here.

Group Study Night

Group Study Nights are a great opportunity for students to get homework help and review for upcoming tests with Project CONNECT tutors and peers. Students have access to both a 100% quiet area for individual studying and a room for group studying and tutoring. This is a come and go event; students are free to show up when they are available and leave when they are done studying. Hope you can join us at a Group Study Night this semester!

All Group Study Night dates are posted on our calendar. Keep checking it throughout the semester!

Paper Editing

We can also edit papers, resumes, presentations, letters, and any other written material! To submit a paper to be edited, email Katie.Fletcher@shsu.edu with the following:

• Date you need paper back (please allow 3 business days for editing)
• Instructions from professor
• Format paper is supposed to be in
• Paper attached to the email

When you email your paper to Katie, she will reply with a confirmation that she received it and it has been sent to a tutor. If you do not receive a confirmation, please resend the email! Confirmations are only sent on weekdays between 8am and 5pm.

You can also drop your paper off in the Teacher Education Center room 339 and we will give it to a tutor to edit.
