- Montgomery County Women's Center Scholarships - Available to clients of the women's center
- TG's Charley Wootan Grant Program - available to residents of Texas. Grants are split between students going to 2-year colleges or vocational schools and student enrolled at 4-year universities
- The Gates Millennium Scholars Program selects 1,000 talented students each year to receive a good-through-graduation scholarship to use at any college or university of their choice. Gates Millennium Scholars are provided with personal and professional development through their leadership programs along with academic support throughout their college career
- The TADC Urban Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors, first-time and/or returning undergrad college students, attending any accredited nonprofit college, university, or technical school. The amounts to be awarded per school year: $700/community college, junior college, and technical college students; $1000/public four-year college and university students; and $2000/private four-year college and university students.
Visit their website to view eligiblity requirements and apply for the scholarship. Applications for 2013-2014 must be postmarked by July 8, 2013.
Opportunities
- The Emma Bowen Foundation paid internship work/study program with national media companies for minority male high school seniors/college freshmen who want to pursue a career in the media industry. Must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0, be interested in pursuing a career in the media industry, and plan to attend a four-year accredited college or university. Apply online.
- SU DiscoverLaw.org PLUS Program is an intensive four-week residential summer program hosted by Suffold University Law School in Boston. The program is completely free and provides participants with room and board, books and materials, and a $1500 stipend.
