About The Program
The Outdoor Leadership Challenge is a program for students who are interested in learning more about essential leadership skills and talents that can be applied in a group setting. Participants will travel to the SHSU University Camp to engage in team building activities and initiatives that they will be able to re-create and facilitate with their student organizations. The program will be interactive, fun, energetic, and outdoors. All students can attend, regardless of classification, gender, campus involvement, etc.
This program will enable students to:
• Create new relationships with other participants
• Recognize specific skill sets essential to leaders, and apply those skills to their everyday lives
• Review their confidence level and seek out leadership opportunities
• Evaluate individual outcomes and appreciate the importance of personal accomplishments
